TR90 with monitoring speaker in room 12 in 1961

The EMI TR/90 is a quarter inch mono tape recorder running at 7½ and 15 inches per second,[1], one of the two main recording machines which Delia used at the Radiophonic Workshop, the other being the similar BTR2.[2]

Room 12 had an EMI TR90 tape machine, onto which was bolted the Tempophon, a device with rotating heads that could change the pitch of a sound without modifying its tempo.[3]
